Our group at the American Oncology Network in Fort Myers, FL is searching for a Pharmacy Nurse Specialist to join the team!

Responsibilities

Will provide professional nursing counseling for oral specialty oncology drugs for Florida Cancer Specialists' patients referred to Rx-To-Go. Will manage and counsel R.E.M.S. patients as required by the manufacturer and the F.D.A. Will act as a clinical resource for the Prior Authorization Team and the Prescription Intake Team.

 

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program/degree is required. Valid Florida LPN license is required. A Minimum of three (3) years of experience with patients in a clinic or hospital is required (experience with hematology/oncology preferred) Knowledge of medial terminology is essential. Attention to detail and ability to multi-task are important to the job function. Proficient computer and EMR skills needed. Must have strong critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to react calmly and effectively in stressful situations. Fluency in the English language with excellent oral and written communication skills to interact with a wide variety of personalities is required.
